Luxeed S7
The Luxeed S7 is the model that launched the brand, a sleek electric sedan explicitly sized to compete with the Tesla Model S, built on Huawei’s 800V “Giant Whale” platform. It’s a genuinely aerodynamic shape too, with a drag coefficient of just 0.203 Cd, among the slipperiest production cars on sale anywhere.
Two battery sizes are offered on the rear-wheel-drive version, an 82kWh pack for 705km of CLTC range, or a 100kWh pack stretching that to a genuinely enormous 855km, with 0 to 62mph in 5.4 seconds. The range-topping all-wheel-drive Ultra trim adds a second front motor for a combined 489hp and a 3.3 second 0 to 62mph time, with Brembo brake calipers fitted as standard. Inside, a 17-speaker Huawei sound system, a zero-gravity front passenger screen, and a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof feed Huawei’s latest ADS 4 driver assistance system.
The Luxeed S7 starts from 239,800 yuan in China, around Β£26,200 converted. It has not launched in the UK, and remains a China-only model for now.
