Voyah Taishan X8
The Voyah Taishan X8 is a full-size luxury SUV, closely related to the standard Voyah Taishan but built as its own distinct model, slightly shorter in length, wheelbase and height, and somewhat heavier. It was unveiled in March 2026 alongside Voyah’s Hong Kong stock market debut, before officially launching in China in May 2026.
The X8 is the first Voyah model to run Huawei’s newest generation of HarmonyOS, built around dual 15.6-inch central touchscreens capable of 1,000 nits of brightness, each screen able to operate entirely independently of the other. Two powertrains are offered: a plug-in hybrid pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with a 44.5kWh LFP battery, and a fully electric version using a considerably larger 98 to 120kWh battery. The PHEV spans two output levels, both producing well over 600hp combined, with a genuinely enormous combined range of up to 936 miles once the petrol engine is included. The pure electric version manages 375 to 452 miles of CLTC range on its own.
The Voyah Taishan X8 starts from 292,000 yuan in China, around £31,900 converted. It has not launched outside China, and like the rest of the Voyah range, no right-hand drive version has been confirmed.
