Chery Tiggo 8
The Chery Tiggo 8 is the seven-seat sibling to the Tiggo 7, sharing the same underlying platform and engines but with an extra row of seats and a longer body, launched in the UK alongside the Tiggo 7 in June 2026. Chery has pitched it as one of the cheapest seven-seat SUVs on the market, with boot space expanding to a genuinely large 1,930 litres when the rearmost seats are folded flat.
The same two powertrains as the Tiggo 7 are offered: a 1.6 litre petrol engine producing 145 hp with a 9.8 second 0 to 62 mph time, or a Super Hybrid plug-in version for buyers who want lower running costs and reduced company car tax. Reviewers have generally rated the interior as a genuine strength, with plusher materials than the price suggests, though third row space is best reserved for children or shorter adults on longer journeys.
The Chery Tiggo 8 starts from £28,545 for the petrol version, rising to £36,545 for the top Super Hybrid trim. Every Tiggo 8 comes with a 7 year vehicle warranty.
