Haval Jolion
The Haval Jolion is the model that brought the Haval brand to the UK, a compact hybrid SUV that launched here in February 2025 as a genuinely value-focused alternative to established rivals like the Nissan Qashqai. It measures 4,470mm long, giving it a footprint similar to many mainstream family SUV competitors, with three trims offered at launch: Premium, Lux and Ultra, the last of which has since been replaced by a new, blacked-out Vanta variant.
The Jolion Pro Hybrid uses a 149 PS electric motor paired with a 1.5 litre petrol engine for a combined 189 PS, with GWM quoting a theoretical range of up to 620 miles between the electric and petrol systems working together. Reviewers have generally found the interior a genuine strength for the price, with plenty of standard equipment, though the driving experience itself has drawn more mixed reactions, with some testers finding the hybrid system’s transitions between power sources noticeably less refined than class leaders.
