Exeed Sterra ES
The Exeed Sterra ES is a full-size electric sedan that launched in December 2023, offered with a genuinely wide spread of powertrains: a pure electric version and a range-extender EREV, across rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Output ranges from 248 hp on the entry rear-wheel-drive version up to 473 hp on the top all-wheel-drive trim.
Battery options are similarly broad, from a 32.7 kWh pack on the entry EREV up to a 100 kWh Qilin battery on the flagship EV, with the range-extender versions capable of an enormous combined range of up to 1,645km CLTC between the battery and a full tank. Just over two weeks after launch, Exeed cut the Sterra ES’s starting price by 12%, alongside cash discounts on existing owners’ models, a sign of how intensely competitive China’s EV sedan market has become.
The Exeed Sterra ES starts from around 198,800 yuan in China, roughly £21,700 converted. It has not launched in the UK, and no UK plans have been announced.
