Firefly Hatchback
The Firefly is a small electric hatchback, and the only model the brand currently builds, positioned as a genuine rival to the MINI Cooper Electric, Renault 5, Hyundai Inster and BYD Dolphin rather than the cheapest EVs on sale. At just over 4 metres long, it’s a distinctive-looking car, with triple circular lights at both the front and rear giving it an unusually playful, original face for the segment.
Power comes from a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 141 hp, enough for a 0 to 62 mph time of 8.1 seconds, paired with a 41 kWh usable LFP battery for a WLTP range of around 205 miles. A refreshed version launched in China in April 2026 with a retuned motor and additional standard equipment at no extra cost, though an updated power figure for that version hadn’t been separately confirmed at the time of writing. Standard equipment already includes heated and ventilated front seats, a 14 speaker sound system, 50W wireless phone charging, a 360 degree camera, and vehicle-to-load functionality for powering external devices. Practicality is a genuine strength too, with 404 litres of boot space, a 92 litre front boot, and a further 26 litres of underseat storage.
The Firefly has not yet launched in the UK, though right-hand drive production began in late 2025 and a UK launch is confirmed for 2026. UK pricing hasn’t been officially announced, but based on pricing already confirmed in the Netherlands (from €29,900, around £26,300), industry expectation is a UK starting price of roughly £26,000.
