Geely Galaxy Starshine 7
The Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 is a mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan, the newest and most powerful of the brand’s growing Starshine range, launched in May 2026 after testing at the Silverstone Formula One circuit ahead of production. It’s built around Geely’s new-generation Thor hybrid system, combining a 1.5 litre petrol engine with electric motors for a combined 312kW output and 526Nm of torque, enough for a genuinely rapid 0 to 62mph time of 5.4 seconds on the all-wheel-drive version, unusually quick for a value-focused family sedan.
A 28.3 to 28.5kWh battery provides up to 220km of electric-only CLTC range, with adaptive damping and a five-link independent rear suspension bringing a level of chassis sophistication not common at this price point. Inside, the Starshine 7 runs Geely’s Flyme Auto smart cockpit software. It competes directly against the BYD Qin L and Seal 06 in China’s fiercely contested sub-150,000-yuan electrified sedan segment.
The Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 starts from around 98,800 yuan in China, roughly £10,800 converted, rising to 139,800 yuan for the top all-wheel-drive trim. It has not launched outside China, and no international plans have been announced.
