Maextro S800

The Maextro S800 is the model that launched the brand, a full-size luxury sedan unveiled in November 2024 and officially released in May 2025, built specifically to challenge the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and, at the very top of its range, cars considerably more expensive still. At 5,480mm long with a 3,370mm wheelbase, it’s a genuinely substantial car, and the first vehicle built on Huawei’s second-generation Tuling Intelligent Chassis, running an L3-capable self-driving architecture.

Both fully electric and range-extender EREV versions are offered, spanning four-seat and five-seat configurations, with the range-extender versions using a petrol engine purely to keep the battery topped up rather than driving the wheels directly. Standard technology includes Huawei’s most advanced driver assistance suite, and the latest update brought 896-channel LiDAR, the highest specification available anywhere, shared only with the Aito M9 within Huawei’s own line-up. A genuinely eye-catching “Grand Design” special edition followed in mid-2026, adding gold trim throughout, a distinctive two-tone exterior finish, and a four-seat-only cabin, priced at roughly double the standard car.

The Maextro S800 starts from 708,000 yuan in China, around £77,400 converted, rising to 1,018,000 yuan for the standard range-topping trim, or approximately 2,000,000 yuan for the Grand Design special edition. It secured over 8,000 orders within 50 days of launch. It has not launched outside China, and no international plans have been announced.
