Maextro is the fourth and final brand in Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), joining Seres’s Aito, Chery’s Luxeed, and BAIC’s Stelato. This one’s built by JAC Group (Anhui Jianghuai Automobile), with Huawei once again supplying the software, sensors and driver assistance technology rather than taking an ownership stake. Known in China as Zunjie, Maextro was officially unveiled in August 2024, with a dedicated factory built specifically for it in Feixi, near Hefei.

Where its HIMA siblings compete with BMW and Mercedes’ mainstream ranges, Maextro was built to aim considerably higher, its debut model, the S800, was explicitly positioned as a challenger to Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce, alongside the NIO ET9 and BYD’s own Yangwang U7 in that same rarefied segment. It’s proven to be a genuine sales success too, rather than just a technology showcase, the S800 has led China’s entire 700,000-yuan-plus luxury sedan segment for eight consecutive months.
Maextro expanded its range for the first time in August 2026 with the V800 and V680, a pair of luxury minivans, giving the brand a second body style within its first two years. Maextro has not launched outside China, and no international or UK plans have been announced.
