iCaur is Chery‘s newest sub-brand, and by far its most distinctive, a range of chunky, retro-styled off-roaders aimed at a younger, lifestyle-focused audience rather than the mainstream family buyers Chery’s other brands chase. In China it’s known simply as iCar, but it’s been renamed iCaur for every export market to avoid a trademark clash with Apple, which owns the rights to the iCar name outside China.

iCaur Overview
The brand launched in China with the boxy little V23 SUV, and has expanded quickly since, adding the smaller, more conventionally styled 03T, with a genuine flagship, the large V27 off-roader, unveiled in November 2025 as a direct rival to the Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Rover Defender. Chery’s stated ambition is genuinely global, its iCar CEO has talked about opening 2,000 showrooms across 100 countries within three years as part of the wider Chery export push.
iCaur has been confirmed for a UK launch, expected to begin with the V23, following the success of sibling brands Omoda, Jaecoo and Chery itself, all of which have found real traction here already, the Jaecoo 7 alone reportedly outsold the Nissan Qashqai in the UK in one recent month. A larger V25 SUV is expected to follow the V23 into the UK, with the V27 flagship’s timing less certain.
