Deepal S07
The Deepal S07 is the model that introduced Changan to the UK, a large electric family SUV that launched here in September 2025 after test drives began the previous July. At 4.75 metres long, it’s a genuine rival in size to the Tesla Model Y, Skoda Enyaq and Hyundai Ioniq 5, styled at Changan’s design studio in Italy with a distinctly European look rather than anything that reads as a straightforward China-to-UK port.
Power comes from a single 215 hp electric motor driving the rear wheels, paired with a roughly 80 kWh battery for a WLTP range of up to 295 miles. It’s a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model only for now, no all-wheel-drive or dual-motor version has been announced for the UK. Standard equipment leans heavily on tech and comfort, including a large central touchscreen that can pivot to face the driver or front passenger, and soft-touch materials throughout a cabin reviewers have generally rated as a genuine step up in perceived quality from many rivals at this price.
The Deepal S07 starts from £39,990 in the UK, undercutting the Tesla Model Y, Skoda Enyaq and Hyundai Ioniq 5 by a meaningful margin while matching or beating their standard equipment lists.
