Aion V
The Aion V is the model leading GAC Aion’s UK launch, a boxy mid-size electric family SUV that went on sale in Britain from 28 May 2026 through the brand’s new partnership with Jameel Motors. It’s built around GAC’s Magazine Battery 2.0 technology, which the brand emphasises heavily for its safety credentials.
Reports around launch suggested the Aion V would come with a 90 kWh battery, a WLTP range in the region of 320 miles, and around 225 hp on tap, though exact UK specification details were still being confirmed around the time of launch. The cabin centres on a multi-language digital cockpit with voice control and over the air update capability.
UK pricing for the Aion V starts from £36,450 on the road. One of its headline selling points is an eight year package covering the vehicle’s warranty, servicing, breakdown cover and MOT testing, a genuinely comprehensive offer by UK market standards.
