Geely Starray
The Geely Starray, badged EM-i Super Hybrid, is the second model Geely has brought to the UK, arriving in February 2026 as a plug in hybrid sibling to the electric EX5. Rather than adapting a petrol SUV to take a battery, Geely designed the Starray from the outset as a dedicated plug in hybrid, developed with Lotus Engineering for UK roads.
A 1.5 litre petrol engine works alongside an electric motor for a combined 259 hp and a 0 to 62 mph time of 8.0 seconds. Two battery sizes are offered: an 18.4 kWh pack good for up to 51 miles of electric only range on Pro and Max trims, and a larger 29.8 kWh pack on the top Ultra trim that stretches that to a genuinely impressive 84 miles.
Like the EX5, the Starray comes with Geely’s 8 year, 125,000 mile warranty. Three trim levels are offered, Pro, Max and Ultra, each with generous standard equipment including heated and electrically adjustable front seats as standard.
