Li Auto L6
The Li Auto L6 is the brand’s most affordable model and, by a wide margin, its best-seller, a five-seat premium family SUV that surpassed 200,000 deliveries within just nine months of its April 2024 launch. It was significantly refreshed in July 2026 at an unchanged starting price, gaining Li Auto’s latest in-house technology as part of a wider overhaul of the whole L-series range.
The L6 uses the same range-extender principle as its larger siblings, a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine working purely as a generator alongside dual electric motors producing a combined 402 hp, enough for 0 to 62mph in 5.4 seconds. The updated model comes standard with Li Auto’s own Mach M100 self-driving chip, offering 1,280 TOPS of computing power, the same generation used in the flagship L9, with an optional dual-chip package boosting that to 2,560 TOPS and adding four LiDAR sensors. Inside, a 29-inch 6K display spans the centre console and front passenger area, running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chip.
The Li Auto L6 has not launched in the UK, and remains a China-only model. Li Auto’s founder has said the goal for the refreshed L6 is to become the “king of experience” in its segment, reflecting how central the L6 has become to the brand’s overall sales.
