NIO ET7
The NIO ET7 is the brand’s flagship saloon, a 5.1 metre long car built to compete with the Mercedes EQS, BMW i7 and Tesla Model S. It showcases the full range of NIO’s technology and luxury positioning, and represents the top of the brand’s current lineup in the markets where it’s sold.
Like the rest of NIO’s range, the ET7 supports the brand’s signature battery swap technology, letting owners exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one at a dedicated swap station in a matter of minutes, provided there’s a functioning network of stations nearby, something NIO has been steadily building out across the European markets it operates in.
The ET7 is sold in select European markets but has not launched in the UK. Industry commentary suggests it will likely be a while before UK buyers can get one, with NIO’s family friendly EL6 SUV generally expected to lead any eventual UK launch rather than the flagship saloon.
