Aito M9
The Aito M9 is Seres and Huawei’s flagship luxury SUV, and by a considerable margin their most successful model, a full-size six-seat SUV that’s genuinely rivalling the BMW X7 and Range Rover for buyers in China’s most expensive SUV segment. It’s held the top sales spot in China’s 500,000-yuan-plus luxury SUV bracket for 21 straight months, and cumulative deliveries had passed 280,000 units by March 2026.
The latest generation, launched May 2026, is offered as both a fully electric vehicle and a range-extender EREV, with a combined output of up to 664kW on the top trim, enough for 0 to 62mph in just 4.0 seconds despite a substantial 3.2 tonne kerb weight. The range-extender version offers a combined range of up to 1,260km CLTC between the battery and a full tank. Standard technology includes Huawei’s ADS 5.0 driver assistance suite built around an 896-channel LiDAR sensor, and the cabin is finished to a standard reviewers have compared directly with Mercedes, BMW and Range Rover.
The Aito M9 starts from 479,800 yuan in China, around £52,500 converted, rising to 659,800 yuan for the top trim. It debuted in the UAE in February 2026 as its first officially authorised sale outside China, badged “AITO 9.” It has not launched in the UK, and no UK plans have been announced.
