Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the brand’s performance halo model, a tri-motor version of the standard SU7 built to prove that a two-year-old car company from a smartphone maker can genuinely compete with the world’s most storied performance brands. The results have been startling.

With a combined output of 1,527 hp from three electric motors, the SU7 Ultra set an outright Nurburgring lap record for a production electric car at 7 minutes 4.957 seconds, later beaten by a prototype version in 6 minutes 22.091 seconds, one of the fastest laps of the circuit ever recorded by any road car. In a straight line, it has been filmed beating a Ferrari SF90 XX hypercar, a car costing well over ten times as much, over a standing quarter mile.

The SU7 Ultra is not sold outside China, where it’s priced from around 529,900 yuan, roughly Β£57,000 converted. There’s no confirmation yet on whether the Ultra will be part of Xiaomi’s eventual European lineup when the brand launches here in 2027.
