Shangjie is the fifth brand in Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, known as HIMA, and SAIC’s entry into the partnership. It joins four brands already covered on this site, Aito (with Seres), Luxeed (with Chery), Stelato (with BAIC) and Maextro (with JAC). As with the others, Huawei supplies the software, cockpit and driver assistance technology, while SAIC builds the cars, in Shanghai.

ShareShangjie Overview
Shangjie is positioned as the most affordable brand in the HIMA family. Its first model, the H5 mid-size SUV, launched in September 2025 from around 159,800 yuan, a fraction of the price of a Maextro or a larger Aito, and it’s built on the same underpinnings as SAIC’s Roewe ES39. It secured more than 10,000 firm orders in its first hour on sale and passed 30,000 deliveries within about four months.
Shangjie has not launched outside China, and no international plans have been announced. Further models have been teased, including a coupe called the Z7.
