Chinese Car Launches Still to Come in the UK in 2026
Chinese car sales in the UK have roughly doubled over the past year, and the pace of new arrivals shows no sign of slowing. With more than a dozen brands already selling here, several more due before the year is out, and existing brands rapidly filling out their model ranges, keeping track of what’s actually landing next has become a genuine task in itself. Here’s what’s confirmed, or close to it, as of early August 2026.
Zeekr
Zeekr has now confirmed it remains on track to start UK sales by the end of 2026, though first customer deliveries have been pushed to early 2027. Following the appointment of a UK chief commercial officer, the brand is now actively engaging with potential dealer partners. One detail worth correcting from earlier reporting: Zeekr has not yet confirmed which model will actually lead its UK launch. Its European range already includes the X compact SUV, the 7X mid-size SUV, the 001 shooting brake, and the newly revealed 7GT estate, any of which could plausibly be first, with the 7GT a strong candidate given it’s been specifically designed and tuned for European roads.
Denza Z
This one’s moved from “coming eventually” to genuinely orderable. Denza’s astonishing electric supercar, the Z, is open for UK orders, with first deliveries expected before the end of the year.
Three versions are on offer: the standard car from £142,900, a convertible Spider from £159,900, and a track-focused Racing version from £172,900.
All three share a tri-motor setup producing 1,604hp, enough for a 0 to 60mph time under 2 seconds, numbers that put it in the same conversation as hypercars costing several times as much.
GAC Aion UT
Aion’s UK launch started with the V SUV, and the UT hatchback now has a firm timeline: order books open in September 2026, with first deliveries following in October. It’s a smaller, more affordable fully electric hatchback aimed at buyers who want Aion’s value proposition in a more compact package, styled specifically for Europe at GAC’s design studio in Milan.
XPeng X9
XPeng’s UK story so far has been the G6 SUV, but the X9, a seven-seat electric MPV, has now properly launched here too. UK pricing is confirmed at £74,990 for the Standard Range, £79,990 for the Long Range, and £84,990 for the All-Wheel Drive version, with deliveries beginning this quarter.
It gives XPeng a genuinely different kind of buyer to appeal to compared with the G6’s SUV-shaped rivals, positioned against premium electric people-carriers like the Kia EV9 and Volkswagen ID.Buzz.
Worth watching: an entirely new brand
Alongside the models above, Changan’s Deepal sub-brand has now gone properly live in the UK, marking a brand-new name on British forecourts rather than an addition to an existing range.
It’s a reminder that this list isn’t just about new models from brands you already know, entirely new manufacturers are still arriving too, and Deepal likely won’t be the last.
The bigger picture
None of this is slowing down any time soon. Chinese brands collectively represented over 11% of new UK car registrations in the first quarter of 2026, up from around 6% a year earlier, and that share has continued climbing since. Price remains a headline draw, brands like BYD design and build their own batteries and motors in-house rather than buying them in, which keeps costs down in a way established manufacturers often can’t match. Expect this list to need updating again before the year is out.
