Jaecoo 8
The Jaecoo 8 is the brand’s new flagship, a large seven seat SUV that arrived in the UK in 2026 as a considerably more premium, more powerful proposition than the original Jaecoo 7. It’s closely related under the skin to the Omoda 9 and the Chery Tiggo 9, sharing much of their plug in hybrid engineering.
Every Jaecoo 8 uses the same Super Hybrid System, combining a turbocharged petrol engine with electric motors and all wheel drive for a combined output of 428 hp, along with an electric only range of up to 83 miles and a claimed total range of over 700 miles between the battery and a full tank.
Buyers can choose between a seven seat Luxury trim or a six seat Executive version with captain’s chairs in the middle row, both generously equipped with items like heated and ventilated seats front and middle row, a panoramic sunroof and a 14 speaker sound system. Like the rest of the Jaecoo range, it comes with a 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty.
