Jaecoo 7
The Jaecoo 7 was the car that introduced Jaecoo to the UK in early 2025, and it quickly became one of the most talked about new arrivals in the family SUV class. Styled with a boxy, upright design that draws obvious comparison to much pricier premium SUVs, it undercuts them by a considerable margin while offering four wheel drive as an option, unusual at this price point.
Two petrol engines are available, plus a plug in hybrid version that most buyers, especially company car drivers, are expected to choose. The PHEV pairs a 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine with an 18.3 kWh battery for a combined 204 PS, an electric only range of up to 56 miles, and a claimed total range of 745 miles between the battery and a full 60 litre fuel tank.
Every Jaecoo 7 comes with the brand’s 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty, with an extra year of cover on the battery in hybrid form. Within its first year on sale in the UK, the Jaecoo 7 had already racked up tens of thousands of registrations, at one point becoming the country’s second best selling new car in a single month.
