MGS5 EV
The MGS5 EV is a compact electric SUV, about 4.5 metres long, and the direct replacement for the MG ZS EV, which is no longer sold new. It’s built on the same platform as the MG4 EV and was one of MG’s most important launches, arriving in the UK in 2025 at a price that undercuts rivals such as the Skoda Elroq.
Two batteries are offered. The Standard Range uses a 49kWh lithium iron phosphate pack with 168hp and up to 211 miles of WLTP range, with 0-62mph in 8.0 seconds. The Long Range uses a 64kWh pack with 228hp and up to 298 miles, cutting the sprint to 6.3 seconds. Both are rear-wheel drive, and DC charging peaks at around 139kW.
The MGS5 EV starts from £28,995 for the SE Standard Range, with the SE Long Range at £31,495 and the Trophy Long Range at £33,995, backed by MG’s 7 year, 80,000 mile warranty.
