MGS9 PHEV
The MGS9 PHEV is MG’s first seven-seat SUV, and at around five metres long it’s the largest MG ever made. It went on sale in the UK in March 2026 and sits above the MGS6 EV and MG HS in the range, sharing its plug-in hybrid system with the HS while adding a third row of seats, roughly 330mm more length, and a price that undercuts most seven-seat rivals by a wide margin.
Power comes from a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine and an electric motor driving the front wheels, producing around 299PS and 0-62mph in 9.6 seconds. A 24.7kWh battery gives up to 62 miles of electric-only range on the WLTP cycle. Boot space is 332 litres with all three rows in use, rising to more than 1,000 litres with the third row folded. Standard equipment on both trims includes 20 inch alloys, a panoramic roof, a power tailgate, tri-zone climate control, heated seats and dual 12.3 inch screens.
The MGS9 PHEV costs £34,205 in Comfort trim and £36,945 in Premium, both on the road, and comes with MG’s 7 year, 80,000 mile warranty. It is not available in Northern Ireland.
