MG ZS Hybrid+
The MG ZS Hybrid+ is the second-generation ZS, MG’s compact SUV and one of its best-selling models in the UK. It arrived in October 2024 as a self-charging hybrid, replaced the old petrol ZS and, later, the ZS EV (whose electric role passed to the MGS5 EV), and won Carbuyer’s Best Hybrid Car award for 2025.
The Hybrid+ pairs a 1.5 litre petrol engine with a 134bhp electric motor and a small battery for a combined 194bhp and 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds, with claimed economy of around 55mpg. It’s about 4.4 metres long with a 443 litre boot, rising to 1,457 litres with the seats folded. A cheaper petrol-only version was added later, offered only in SE trim.
Prices run from £21,495 for the petrol SE, with the Hybrid+ SE at £23,995 and the Hybrid+ Trophy at £25,495, all on the road, with MG’s 7 year, 80,000 mile warranty.
