BYD Ti7
The BYD Ti7 is BYD’s first seven-seat SUV for the UK, a genuinely significant addition to the range, sold in China under BYD’s own Fangchengbao off-road sub-brand as the Ti7 (or Tai 7), where it’s offered only as a five-seater. The UK and European version uses a dedicated seven-seat layout developed specifically for these markets, with styling that draws obvious comparison to the Land Rover Defender.
Power comes from a DM-p plug-in hybrid system, a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with front and rear electric motors for all-wheel drive and a combined 408PS. A 35.6kWh battery gives an electric-only range of around 74 miles, modest by plug-in hybrid standards and reflecting the Ti7’s focus on outright performance over headline EV range. Top speed is 118mph.
The BYD Ti7 starts from £47,995 on the road for the sole Excellence AWD trim. UK showrooms open from November 2026, with first customer deliveries due in January 2027.
